My imagination is driven by a passion for self-expression through art.  A lifetime of skill and experience with manipulating metal and stone coaxes the cold hard materials into natural, expressive forms with personality.  I love to work with my hands, and of course power tools, big hammers, and hot torches.

The sculpture experience begins with an idea that needs mass and form to fulfill it's expression.  
A piece of scrap steel becomes a flame, leaf, feather, or branch.  The form grows inward and outward in a sort

of fractal progression.  As it grows, the expression becomes a story that is more than  the sum of its parts
